This month a lot has happened, I like reading Death of a Salesman, even though Willy is a complete ass, but he had his reason, and in the end he still died for his sons. I respect that. The essay we had to write in class was a little extreme, I only got a 4 on it. It was really hard and I definitely need a lot more work on them, I hope by the time of AP exams we will all be hardcore essay writers.
The eras presentation was ok, the project itself is fine but prezi took my group two days to figure out how everything functions. Jino, Ken, Yash, and I had really big trouble working with prezi, especially when it randomly log us out like every twenty minuets.
Personally I disagree about DOS. I liked reading it but I couldn't respect Willy's action of committing suicide. It wasn't about dying for his sons, it was about himself and is disillusionment with the world and how it didn't work how he planned. He couldn't cope with the crude reality of his life. Killing himself for the attention of his sons was not respected in the end, either. I would agree with you on the essay writing though, don't worry. You're not alone, my peers gave my writing a 4 too! We will all improve in the areas that need to be improved for us. I'm sure you'll kick butt on the AP exam. About Prezi, new technology is always foreign to us but give it time and maybe practice using it more that way in the future if you want to use it, you will know how to effectively! Don't be so hard on yourself (or your group!) it introduced to us the day we were given our project! Although, I can give you a possible explanation for the reason it logged out out ever 20 minutes because it did that to my group also. If only one of you made an account and you all were working from the same account, it wouldn't work. Only one person can be on an individual account at a time! :P

ReplyDeleteTo me, I do not think you can justify someone being an "ass." There is really no excuse for that. Even if you are stressed, upset, or simply just having a bad day, that gives you no right to take that anger out on anyone else. I did not like Willy at all was frustrated that Biff wanted to please him so much. You cannot change who someone is by appeasing them. My .02 anyway. I agree Prezi was frustrating at first, but I am happy it was introduced to us. Prezi > Power Point
ReplyDeleteInterpretations of DOS aside, it was a good read. A revisit from Amlit but still fun; we definitely got more the second time around. Those essays are brutal; I had some harsh critiques. I personally liked Prezi. It's always hard learning new ways to do familiar things, but considering how long it took to learn something like Powerpoint I'd say the software is pretty easy to use.
