Synthesize of Course Material #4
The two novels we read, Ceremony and Pride and Prejudice are suppose to be very good novels, with many morals in them. But to be honest I didn't like either of them. I think Ceremony is too full of violence, alcohol, and not enough events are actually going on, while Pride and Prejudice is the complete opposite, there are no action happening at all, and its all about relationships between girls and guys, and trying to get married. If these two novels could some how combine and the story plot be mixed up a little bit, it would make a very interesting novel.

Better! There was slight mention of plot summary. Ceremony is about the psychological struggle of Tayo and every other Native American about how they fit in in the larger world around them. There are a lot of events in Ceremony. Maybe you could have gone into what the violence and alcohol mean to the novel as a whole? Pride and Prejudice is essentially about getting married it is a bout more. You probably should have touched upon that.

For all 4 posts, I thought your division of the curriculum was not as good as it could have been. You separated it into Novels, Plays, DIDLS, and AP Questons. In all four posts you could have said so much more but instead you just skimmed the surface. Try going into more detail about it!
I'll have to agree again with Emily here; you talk about a particular subject and discuss how you feel with them, but do not go into detail about the formal course material. You have the first part of the equation down; identifying where you are vulnerable in the course (at least in the areas you've mentioned in your 4 entries), but you must also include a solution to those problem areas in the form of the many tools we have gained to attack the AP exam. I can see that you've put in effort, and I congratulate you for that and your easy identification of your position; something that can come in handy in essay writing.
ReplyDeleteI'd like to see both more depth of detail and more breadth of coverage in this assignment.
